Information Technology
Information Technology is fast becoming one of the most sought-after proficiencies in the modern workplace.
Computing and IT skills are essential in almost all career paths; in New Zealand, several occupations within the IT category are on Immigration New Zealand’s Essential Skills lists. Many are also specified on the Long Term Skill Shortage list; on average, there are between 2,000 and 3,000 roles in Information Technology regularly advertised in New Zealand.
Whether or not you decide to pursue a career in the Information Technology sector, knowledge of this skillset opens a world of opportunities. Using the latest software, delivered by staff with top-level academic qualifications and industry experience, Auckland Institute of Studies has designed a number of IT programmes to give graduates the best possible chance of paving their way to a profitable and successful long-term career.
Incorporating both hands-on training and theoretical knowledge, our IT programmes ensure graduates have skills that are attractive to global employers. Regular industry visits are combined with first-class teaching, to provide students with a valuable addition to their CV or job application.
All students are issued with their own laptop, and receive free Microsoft software.
