New Zealand Certificate in Information Technology (NZCIT)

This Level 5 programme is suitable for school leavers and those who wish to re-train and pursue a new career in Information Technology (IT).

IT is a well-paid profession that is largely unaffected by the global pandemic. This certificate provides an excellent introduction to this sector to test your interest and abilities, and will allow you to progress onto further IT qualifications such as a Bachelor’s degree, Postgraduate Diploma or Master’s study if you wish.

Graduates of this qualification will have the skills and knowledge to work in the IT industry as an emerging professional in a range of entry-level roles, and IT-related retail roles. You will gain a broad understanding of the core concepts and practical skills required in IT and know how to apply them. No previous tertiary qualifications are necessary, and the short duration will allow you to train and enter the workforce as quickly as possible.
