Immigration
New Zealand’s immigration policy supports the settlement of international students who have the skills and talent that New Zealand needs.
All AIS qualifications at Level 5 and above qualify for points under Immigration New Zealand’s Skilled Migrant Category.
AIS is not permitted to assist students with immigration matters. For advice and assistance on applying for New Zealand residency under the Skilled Migrant Category, you are advised to consult a licensed immigration advisor, or to contact Immigration New Zealand directly.
Immigration New Zealand forms, leaflets and information, including a link to a list of licensed immigration advisors, can be found at www.immigration.govt.nz.
The AIS Student Careers Centre can offer assistance to graduates who wish to find employment in New Zealand. This assistance includes help with interview skills, CV preparation and careers guidance, as well as information on employment consultants and useful job search websites. Contact the Student Careers Centre (located at our St Helens Campus) before the end of your programme if you intend to look for employment opportunities. You will require a Post-Study Work Visa (Open) which can be applied for at Immigration New Zealand.
