AIS St Helens, one of New Zealand’s leading private degree providers for international students, was delighted to sign a pathway agreement with New Zealand Institute of Education (NZIE) in Auckland last week.
NZIE is a progressive institute providing training and development in business, IT and English Language, with campuses in Takapuna, Botany Downs and Manukau City. The NZIE in-house recruitment agency “Think Recruit” supports work experience opportunities for students during their studies, and is successful in supporting graduates into relevant work positions.
The agreement provides an option for business and management diploma graduates from NZIE to continue to the Bachelor of International Business (BIB) and Bachelor of Tourism Management (BTM) at AIS St Helens, with recognition of credit for their prior studies.
President of AIS St Helens, Dr Richard Goodall said “NZIE graduates are very well prepared for work positions and further advanced studies, and this new pathway will offer an option for those wanting an international business focus at degree level, providing an added dimension for their careers in New Zealand or overseas”.
Managing Director of NZIE, Rob Marks added “The focus of AIS St Helens on students as individuals suits our graduates well, and for those seeking higher education it provides an opening to more career options internationally in the business and tourism sectors”.
Further cooperation between AIS St Helens and NZIE is anticipated, with the two institutions now working on a pathway through to degree level for IT students.
