AIS St Helens Student Study Skills Advice

The Study Skills Advisor (SSA) provides FREE, high quality learning assistance to any student enrolled at AIS St Helens. This assistance may be provided to individuals or groups and is designed to help gain maximum benefit from your course of study. The SSA has a range of expertise in academic reading, writing, listening and speaking strategies. The SSA can also work with you to improve general study skills, time management, assignment support and preparation for exams.

Confidential individual appointments can be made by coming up to Room: M313, level 3, for a brief confidential chat.

Student drop-in times: The SSA is available anytime for drop-in assistance/support and no appointment is necessary. Drop-ins run on a first-come, first-seen basis, so make sure you get here early.

Throughout each semester, the SSA will hold workshops on specific Study Skills and strategies. Again, these are free and no appointment is necessary. Requests for group specific workshops (such as assignment/exam support) are also available by appointment.
