AIS St Helens' library holds a wide variety of books, journals, magazines, newspapers, audio and video tapes, and CD-ROMs and provides access to online journal databases which support the Institute's study programmes. There are separate reading and study areas allowing students to work quietly, individually or in groups. The Independent Learning Centre has computers with specialist software for assignments and self-study. As with the other computer suites on campus, there are facilities for sending and receiving email and browsing the internet. Photocopy facilities are also available.
AIS St Helens Asquith Campus has a fully-equipped gymnasium and sports arena. The gym has exercycles, free weight, treadmills and rowing machines. Within the sports arena students can enjoy basketball, volleyball, cricket, badminton, table tennis and indoor football, and club nights are held for boxing, dancing and other sports.
The Main Campus has tennis courts plus areas for basketball, volleyball and petanque outside, and is adjacent to the popular Chamberlain Park Golf Course.
Cafeteria facilities are available at both the Main Campus and the Asquith Campus. A range of local and international cuisine can be purchased. Hot and cold meals, snacks and drinks are available throughout the day. Vending machines are also located in the dormitory and all three campuses. Facilities for heating food brought from home are also available.
Advanced computer facilities are available at both campuses. Students can use computer facilities to access the internet, to access student email accounts, the online enrolment system, the library intranet and for printing and general study purposes.
The AIS St Helens Whanau Room is a place for all students to relax and enjoy each other's company. Situated at the Asquith Campus, it provides space for students to make new friends with people from other countries.
